Camps 2021
Camp registration is currently open to current HSS students. Registration opens to the public on March 22nd. A $100 deposit and completed camp registration form are required to secure you camp slot.
2022 Camp Dates
*Session 1: June 13th-16th
HSS summer camp is a great opportunity to have fun, and make new friends all while learning about and spending time with horses. Our four-day camp sessions include a daily riding lesson, horse involved ground activities, games, crafts, and more! Camp begins at 9am and runs until 2:30pm Monday through Thursday of your camp week. Camp is ideal for beginner to intermediate riders ages 7-12.
Camp activities can include, but are not limited to:
- Safe practices interacting with horses -Types of bits
- Grooming and tacking - Different riding disciplines
- Parts of the saddle and bridle - Jobs with horses
- Parts of the horse - Conformation
- Breeds, colors and markings - Horse care
- Tack cleaning - Basic horse first aid
- Riding skills - Obstacle course
-Games on horseback - Horseshoe/treasure hunt
Camp cost is $400 for a session. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a spot with the balance due a minimum of two weeks prior to the start of camp. All required forms are also due two weeks prior to the start of camp. Space is limited to the first 12 riders who sign up.
